Demon is a custom looping coaster ride by Arrow Dynamics made at Six Flags Great America and California's Great America, owned by Cedar Fair. The ride originally opened in 1976. When it opened, the ride was called Turn of the Century, and featured two airtime hills instead of the two vertical loops seen today. It was one of the first roller coasters to feature a double corkscrew. In 1980, the ride was renamed "Demon", and was given the two vertical loops, as well as exterior display, such as rock formations between the loops, a rock tunnel leading to the corkscrews, and a rock tunnel with flashing lights immediately after the two loops.
